Using LEDs in Modern Lighting Designs

LED Office Lighting

LED lighting fixtures are quickly gaining popularity, as people realize that they are a great choice for both residential and commercial settings. While there is no denying that LED lights are a tad bit more expensive than their traditional counterparts, however, LEDs can cut electricity bills by up to 75%. Additionally, LEDs will need far less replacements due to better longevity and fewer maintenance needs. So that one-time expense doesn’t look so bad, does it?

Also, industrial-strength LEDs work very well with solar power and can be powered for a very long time with portable generators. Therefore, whether your office or facility is located off-the-grid in a far rural area, or in the middle of an industrial city, using LED lights will be cost-effective and practical. And to top it all off, LED lights look pretty great, as well! That is why many modern light designers are now using modern LED lighting fixtures in their creations.

Here are several reasons why LEDs have replaced all other options when it comes to creating masterful pieces of modern lighting designs:

Beautiful and Bright

The brightness of an LED light is determined by the wattage and lumens produced by the bulb. Wattage simply refers to the energy required by the bulb to produce light. The higher the wattage, the brighter the light. For instance, a 28W LED bulb will create brighter light than a 9W bulb. Similarly, the higher the amount of lumens produced, the brighter the light.

This chart clearly shows that LED lights require a lot less electricity to produce the appropriate amount of brightness, as compared to traditional incandescent bulbs.

Ability to Produce the Perfect Beam Angle

The term ‘beam angle’ refers to the LED bulb’s spread of light. A narrower beam angle concentrates light onto a smaller, more restricted area, a lot like a spotlight. Alternatively, larger beam angles let the light spread out wider over a larger distance.

LEDs Can Also Be Dimmable

Get complete control over the brightness of the lights in your facility by investing in dimmable LED lights. However, make sure you use suitable hardware and work with professionals to install these; otherwise, you might end up damaging the modern LED lighting fixtures.
